According to recent leaks, the long-rumored Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be launched as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The device will be released alongside the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro and is effectively the third in the Xiaomi 12S series. According to previous leaks, all three smartphones will bring the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. However, the Xiaomi 12S Pro will also get a variant with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.
According to leakster @Perfect Choreography, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will come with a variety of color schemes and a business card or introduction card in the box. It is said to be the defining moment in the new era of mobile imaging.
There are also Xiaomi and Leica logos, representing the first realization of the new strategic collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica Imaging. It’s worth mentioning that the card also includes the autographs of Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Technology. Also included is the autograph of Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Chairman of the Global Board of Directors of Leica Camera.
XIAOMI 12S ALLEGED SPECIFICATIONS
According to recent leaks, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. It will have a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will support LTPO technology and will bring Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
The phone packs a 4,800mAh/5,000mAh battery and supports 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless flash charging. In addition, the device comes with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also features a 20MP selfie snapper and a triple camera array. The main camera setup features a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide snapper, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens.
The setup was developed together with Leica Imaging System. The camera setup includes the Leica imaging algorithm that supports ToF and laser autofocus. The device runs Android 12 OS out of the box.
